The Women’s Health Information and Referral Service CQ Inc. (WHIRS) in partnership with CQUniversity is offering the ‘Confident, Inspired & Ready for Work’ Program to support young people aged 15 – 24 years to become ready for work. It is fully funded by the Queensland Government via the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Initiative. 

Delivery is from 25 February 2021 – 26 March 2021 (Thursdays & Fridays from 9.30am – 2.30pm) in Rockhampton (venue to be confirmed).

Participants will benefit by:

• Gaining practical job preparation and employability skills, tools and knowledge to transition into the workforce.
• Engaging with local businesses and employers who will share their experience and industry knowledge.
• Building confidence and enhancing their ability to successfully find work or take up further education or training pathways.

A number of young people had successfully completed this program which helped built their capacity and confidence, hence improving their chances of finding employment in the future. The program offered a range of supports and information to help participants prepare for the next steps on their career paths or further education.
